City-wide crime incidents dropped nearly 6% compared to Q4 2024. This marks a continued downward trend from the quarterly totals seen earlier in the year.

The three communities with the largest increases are all in Calgary's inner south, while the biggest reductions came from established suburban neighborhoods.

Energy markets diverged sharply — natural gas nearly doubled YoY while oil fell 17%. Unemployment dropped a full percentage point from last December, though EI recipients remain elevated at nearly 22,000.
